Investment giant Legal & General and renewable specialist NTR have partnered up to “jointly tackle the climate emergency”.
Under the deal, the partnership will give institutional investors across Europe and Asia access to the €1trn European energy transition by leveraging the firms’ “respective strengths and capabilities”.
Combining L&G’s investment heft with NTR’s expertise in renewable project delivery, finance and asset management will “accelerate" ambitions "to deploy the capital needed to address the European energy transition targets”, said Rosheen McGuckian, chief executive officer of NTR.
L&G’s head of distribution Sarah Aitken said the deal is a “natural progression” from the current cornerstone investment that the firm has already made in NTR. This partnership will help “investors address their climate-related concerns as the world moves towards Net Zero”.
