Nuremberg seeks schools PPP advisors

The City of Nuremberg in Germany has issued a contract notice for advisors to support the development of a primary school, high school and associated sports facilities.

A PPP contract will see the private partner deliver a 54-class high school including all-day areas, triple sports hall with grandstand, single sports hall, outdoor and open spaces. The primary school will require up to 16 regular classes, with outdoor and open spaces, a simple sports hall and a day care centre with up to 400 places.

The private partner will operate and maintain the new facilities for 25 years once the buildings are completed, with the schools scheduled to open to new students in time for the school year 2027/28.

Technical and financial consultants have until 8 November 2021 to respond, with a request for proposals expected to be issued to qualified firms on 19 December.
