Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing Association (MTVH) has selected Countryside to enter into a partnership to deliver the second phase of the Clapham Park regeneration project.

The new joint venture will continue the authority’s regeneration of the area, deliver over 2,400 additional new homes, over 53% of which will be affordable housing, and a number of amenities.

In August last year, the authority started tendering for the second phase of the development, having already delivered 1,500 new homes on the site which it acquired from the London Borough of Lambeth in 2005.

“As a partnerships-based business, our commitment to delivering high-quality, sustainable mixed-tenure communities is unwavering. With shared values, I have no doubt this joint venture will bring to life the ambitious vision for Clapham Park,” said Iain McPHerson, Countryside’s chief executive.

Mace, Romboll, JLL, Royal Haskoning and Pinnacle Power consulted on the deal.
