Linklaters hires head of Asia construction

Law firm Linklaters has appointed a former Herbert Smith Freehills partner as its new head of Asia construction, based in Singapore.

Mark Veitch has joined the company in its energy & infrastructure practice, having previously led the front-end construction practice for Southeast Asia at Herbert Smith Freehills. Previously, Veitch was a senior associate in the global transactions practice at King & Spalding.

“We are thrilled Mark has chosen to join us to lead our construction practice at this exciting time for our clients in the Asia energy and infrastructure markets,” said John Maxwell, head of energy & infrastructure for Asia at Linklaters.

“Mark’s extensive construction experience will be of enormous value to our energy & infrastructure clients in Asia,” added Christopher Bradley, the firm’s Singapore managing partner.
