Ashurst appoints new Australia partner

New recruit arrives from Singapore

Ashurst has announced that Bree Miechel will join the firm’s projects practise in Sydney.

Joining from Reed Smith’s Singapore office, where she was partner, Miechel has worked across multiple sectors and geographies advising on energy, waste, and transport projects.

She previously held committee positions in the British Chamber of Commerce, Singapore’s branch of the Energy Institute, Women in Energy Asia and Society of Construction Law Singapore.

Angus Foley, practice group head for APAC, Transport & Infrastructure, commented: “[Miechel] is a versatile practitioner who will provide a strong technical capability in the design and construction procurement aspect of the practice and also brings additional knowledge and contacts in the Asian markets, plus language expertise."
