The Uttar Pradesh Expressway Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) is looking to PPPs to deliver the Ganga Expressway project.
The recently approved project will deliver a six-lane 602km expressway across the state over two phases.
UPEIDA CEO Awanish Awasthi said: “To generate finances, the Board proposed that avenues of the PPP model should be explored. The investors should be identified as per the records of the National Highways Agency of Inda and then Expression of Interest (EOI) should be signed.”
As previously reported, the UK and India governments have signed an agreement aiming to boost collaboration on infrastructure projects by utilising British expertise and financing on much needed infrasturue in India. Under the agreement, the UK will help India by supporting a PPP Centre of Excellence.
