New Chair for Homes England

Housing Secretary Robert Jenrick has appointed Peter Freeman as Homes England’s new Chair.

Co-founder of Argent, Freeman is said to have a “reputation for delivering successful regeneration and housing projects”, including leading London’s lauded King’s Cross regeneration.

Freeman is also set to lead the “continued transformation of Homes England into a commercially focused organisation that works with the public, private and voluntary sector to deliver much needed homes and infrastructure”

Under Freeman’s three-year leadership, Homes England is set to develop a pipeline that can support the UK’s economic recovery and ensure that housing and employment opportunities are “spread across England.”

Jenrick commented: “As the visionary behind the revival of King’s Cross, Peter has a track record of world-class regeneration and it is this along with his drive to create places people want to live that makes him the best person to support our ambitious housing agenda.”
