Kajima Partnerships adds Irish head

A former manager at both the Land Development Agency and the National Development Finance Agency (NDFA) has been appointed new managing director at Kajima Ireland.

Dwayne McAleer has been brought into the role, as Kajima Partnerships looks to bolster its presence in Ireland.

McAleer has a long history working in the country’s infrastructure sector, having worked as a senior infrastructure executive and project manager for Dublin City Council for seven years, before spending a decade at the NDFA as a senior development manager, working on a range of projects including the Grangegorman Campus PPP.

Over the past year, McAleer has worked as developments manager for the Land Development Agency, which is working to bring forward state-owned lands for development in partnership with the private sector.

Kajima has been increasing its focus on the Irish market over recent years, and in November last year it reached financial close on the Social Housing PPP Bundle 2 project.
