French giant looks to “accelerate transformation”

Engie’s board of directors has announced that Catherine MacGregor will be its new chief executive officer.

Currently president of Schlumberger’s drilling business, MacGregor has also been serving as a member of energy firm TechnipFMC’s executive committee, leading its onshore and offshore engineering and construction arm, Technip Energies.

Jean-Pierre Clamadieu, chairman of the board of directors, commented: “[MacGregor’s] professional and personal skills will be essential assets in accelerating Engie’s transformation. I look forward to working with her in the months and years to come to deliver the group’s strategic orientations.”

She will assume her new role on 1 January 2021.
