JV partner sought for London Olympic site

The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) is seeking a partner to deliver 1,200 homes on two sites at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The £600m project will see two new neighbourhoods, one at Stratford Waterfront, next to the East Bank culture and education powerhouse, and the other at Bridgewater Triangle close to the new UCL East campus.

“We are in a challenging economic world and our approach to this development will be different to our previous neighbourhoods on the park,” said LLDC executive director of development, Rosanna Lawes.

“We are not risk averse and we are keen to work alongside the market in a joint venture to promote this development at pace with a partner who shares our vision to establish a new and exemplary metropolitan centre.”

An online launch event is being held at 4pm on 14 October 2020, where further details including the proposed timetable will be published. A winner for the scheme is anticipated during the second quarter of 2021.
