Strong interest in Mumbai Railway PPP

Pre-bid conference gathers international audience; RFQ still open

Indian Railway Stations Development Corporation’s pre-bid conference for its Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) Railway Station project has attracted over 43 prospective bidders.

International firms including Aecom, Anchorage Infrastructure Investment Holdings and Brookfield registered their interested in the USD222m project, as well as consultants JLL, KPMG, EY, and PwC. 

Under the plans, the CSMT project will see a new city centre mall constructed above the rail hub, delivered through a design, build, finance, operate and maintain concession with the support of the Indian government.

The RFQ for the project was posted earlier this summer, with responses due 22 October 2020.

A shortlist is expected to be released in early November.
