A spokesperson for the Scottish government has confirmed to Partnerships Bulletin that it has appointed the following law firms for the framework which formally commenced yesterday:
- Addleshaw Goddard
- Anderson Strathern
- Gilson Gray
- Harper Macleod
- Morton Fraser
- Shepherd + Wedderburn
The government issued a contract notice for the four-year framework in February, seeking advisors to provide legal services on six lots.
Under Lot 4, advisors will support the government on large-scale infrastructure projects, including new and ongoing road and rail construction deals, ports and harbours as well as renewable energy projects.
The selected companies will also provide commercial and procurement advice, including on litigation and dispute resolution issues.
The framework also covers advice for contract, commercial and corporate law under Lot 1, with advisors expected to assist with the drafting of contracts and other commercial documents.
Lot 5 focuses on property and related issues, such as the acquisition and sale of property, construction contracts and property management arrangements.
