€200m Portuguese housing PPP launched

A major city in Portugal has issued a concession notice for an affordable housing project.

The municipality of Lisbon is seeking partners to design, build, finance, maintain and operate housing developments across the capital.

Under the €211.4m contract, the partner will deliver 218 affordable dwellings, of which 40 in Belém, 62 in Lumiar and 116 in Parque das Nações.

The partner will develop a total of 372 properties, including the 218 under an affordability scheme. 

Under the plans the concessionaire will be responsible for maintenance and operation of the properties for 75 years.

Interested parties have until 11 February 2019 to submit responses.
