Lendlease resi expert heads to housing association

The former head of residential at Lendlease Europe has joined one of the UK's largest housing associations.

Richard Cook has been appointed group director of development at Clarion Housing Group, as the organisation looks to deliver on its plans to build 50,000 homes over 10 years.

Cook was previously responsible for delivering 1,000 new homes per year for Lendlease Europe, having joined the company in 2010when he was head of delivery of the design and build contracts on the Olympic Village for London 2012.

He has also worked in residential development for companies such as Mace and George Wimpey (now Taylor Wimpey).

“We are delighted to appoint Richard to take forward our ambitious development plans as we look to play a key role in tackling the country’s housing crisis,” said Clarion group chief executive, Clare Miller.
