Finnish schools PPP launch imminent

A city in Finland is to launch procurement for a schools PPP tomorrow.

A spokesperson for one of the advisors to the City of Espoo told Partnerships Bulletin that “the tender notice will be published tomorrow if the project gets the city council’s approval in their meeting this evening”.

The authority is to procure partners to design, build, finance and maintain four or five new schools, with a total area of approximately 35,000sq m.

The contract, with an estimated value of €100m, is expected to have a term of 22-24 years.

Hannes Snellman (legal), Inspira and CAPEX Advisors (financial) and Ramboll (technical) are advising the authority.
