IPA veteran heads up innovation plans

An infrastructure expert who has worked at the UK’s Infrastructure & Projects Authority (IPA) for the past seven years has taken up a new post driving innovation in the industry.

Keith Waller has been supporting the IPA’s work since 2011 (when it was still Infrastructure UK) and helped deliver the National Infrastructure Plan.

He has now left his role at the Treasury unit to become programme director at the Transforming Construction Alliance, where he will be tasked with leading the delivery of the government’s Core Innovation Hub project.

The Core Innovation Hub is a £72m government strategy designed to boost the delivery of modern construction techniques, including technologies such as virtual reality, digital design and offsite manufacturing technologies.

“I am delighted to be leading the Transforming Construction Alliance in its mission to deliver the Core Innovation Hub project, and boost productivity and performance in the construction sector,” said Waller.
