Afghanistan seeks PPP advisors

The Afghan government has issued two requests for expressions of interest for consultants to revise its PPP procurement plans.

The National Procurement Authority, on behalf of the Ministry of Finance is seeking advisors to identify suitable PPPs and conduct pre-feasibility studies.

Under the first notice, targeted at transactions advisors, the winner will develop a PPP pipeline with an emphasis on energy, transport, water, telecommunication, health, education and waste.

Consultants will assist the Directorate General for PPP and relevant ministries in drafting tender documents and procuring suitable projects.

Under the second notice, consultants will also conduct a PPP scoping mission followed by pre-feasibility studies, along with capacity building sessions for the ministry, the Central Partnership Authority and other government bodies.

Consultants have until 15 December to express interest in both notices.
