Legal advisors sought for NHS PPPs

The NHS is seeking legal advisory services for healthcare PPPs under a framework agreement.

Surrey & Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, through NHS Commercial Solutions, is to appoint a panel of legal advisors to provide support on healthcare projects under different models, including PPP, PFI, joint ventures and Lift schemes.

Under the framework agreement, which is also applicable to other public sector organisations in the UK, the authority is seeking advice on NHS governance and public law, property and commercial and corporate, among other services.

The NHS estimates that the value of contracts awarded under the framework agreement ranges between £25m and £40m.

Interested parties have until 10 December to submit responses.

The NHS confirmed to Partnerships Bulletin last month that it published a list of 28 firms under another legal services framework agreement.

Earlier this year, NHS Shared Business Services issued a separate contract notice for legal services under similar terms to the ongoing procurement from NHS Commercial Solutions.
