The law firm has appointed Matthew Wood as a partner to lead its African project finance team in Abu Dhabi, before relocating to London on a later date.
Andy Fraiser, global head of project finance, said: “Many of the world’s truly global project finance clients are looking for a fresh approach to providing legal services and Matt joining us is one of a number of steps that we will be taking in the near future to respond to client demand.”
A partner at White & Case since 2015, Wood’s practice focuses on energy and infrastructure assets, having advised public and private clients in the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia.
Wood worked for eight years at White & Case’s project finance team in London, before moving to the UAE in 2010.
