Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the Senate “to expeditiously confirm the nominee” in a letter, which Senate President Bukola Saraki read out earlier this week.
Currently acting director-general at the ICRC, Chidi Izuwah is the nominee and has been executive director of the support services and PPP resource departments, responsible for proposing PPP policy and outlining procurement strategies.
In the space of 20 years, he has also held several senior positions in the oil and gas sector at Shell.
