The Walloon Export and Foreign Investment Agency (AWEX) and the Sindh board of investment have agreed to step up efforts to collaborate on PPP projects, with a particular focus on renewable energy, water and transport.
Discussions “on the opportunities for business partnerships” are part of a four-day visit to Karachi and Lahore by a Belgian delegation “to explore business opportunities with partners in Pakistan,” according to the Belgian embassy in the country.
Led by AWEX CEO Pascale Delcomminette, the delegation also includes the Flanders Investment & Trade as well as almost 20 Belgian companies.
“We are pleased to note that bilateral trade is steadily increasing, and recently some investments have been done in both directions,” the embassy said.
