Deloitte appoints EMEA infra M&A head

Financial advisory Deloitte has appointed one of its PPP experts to lead its infrastructure M&A team across Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The firm has brought Charindra Pathiwille, a partner in its financial advisory transaction services team, to the role, having worked closely with Jason Clatworthy, who recently retired from Deloitte.

Based in the UK, Pathiwille has over 11 years’ experience in the market, advising infrastructure funds, direct pensions and insurance investors on UK and European transactions, with a particular focus on PFI/PPP, utilities, distribution networks, road assets, airports and telecoms.

“With his extensive experience and deep understanding of the market, we are delighted that Charindra will be leading and driving forward our EMEA infrastructure M&A business,” said Nick Prior, Deloitte’s global infrastructure and capital projects leader.

“Europe is the largest market in terms of capital deployed by financial investors, and fundamental to our global infrastructure M&A strategy. As a firm we are committed to continue to invest heavily in this sector, in order to build on our success to date and the ever-growing market opportunity.”
