The authority is seeking to work with a housing provider and potential funding organisations to acquire and deliver around 600 new properties to support its homelessness targets.
Under the plans, the joint venture will deliver 80% of two-bed properties, 10% on-bed and 10% three-bed properties.
According to the authority, these properties are to be situated around the local authority, “but maybe within Surrey, Kent or Sussex as appropriate”.
The council expects to issue a contract notice on 1 Mach 2019.
