Dutch A15 road signed-off

The largest motorway PPP in the Netherlands has reached financial close.

The A-Lanes A15 consortium, a joint venture between John Laing, Ballast Nedam, Strabag and Strukton has reached financial close on the A15 Maasvlakte to Vaanplein PPP after being announced preferred bidder in September.

The debt will be provided by ABN AMRO Bank, Fortis Bank, NIBC Bank, Société Generale, UniCredit and the European Investment Bank.

Under the €1.5bn project, the existing motorway will be widened and a new Botlek bridge will be built.

The consortium will be responsible for design, construction, financing and maintenance. Construction will be completed at the end of 2015.
