Preferred bidder on Aussie prison

A preferred bidder has been appointed for a $232m Australian prison PPP.

The Assure Partners Consortium which consists of John Holland, Pindan, Capella Capital and Honeywell has been announced as the preferred bidder on Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields Prison project.

The consortium will design, build, finance, and maintain a 350-bed mixed-gender prison facility.

The design phase of the project is due to commence January 2013 with construction due for completion in the fourth quarter of 2015.

After three consortia submitted bids in October last year, the Assure Partners team beat bids from the Auram Partnership and the EG Pathways Consortium.
