The Brazilian state of Pernambuco has launched a public consultation for a new highway PPP.
As part of the plans, the state is considering a new 25-year deal designed to redevelop and restore a 125km stretch of the federal highway BR-232.
The project will be valued at $224m, with investments expected to be made throughout the duration of the concession period. The winner of the project will also receive availability payments from the government through the contract period.
Those wishing to comment on the plans have until 5 November to submit suggestions and comments, prior to a tender being launched.
The deal follows a proposal submitted to the state by a local team, which includes Odebrecht Transport Participações of the Odebrecht group, Queiroz Galvão, and Investimentos e Participações em Infraestrutura.
