The country’s national infrastructure agency ANI has received the expressions of interest from 61 local and international firms for the $527m Neiva-Girardot highway project.
Following the enquiries, 10 firms will be shortlisted to redevelop and expand the 191km stretch of road.
Areas to benefit the completed work include the departments of Tolima, Cundinamarce and Huila, as Colombia pushes ahead with its so-called fourth generation of road concessions, valued at around $2.45bn.
