Notts trust seeks PPP expertise for tram interface

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust has launched a tender for a concession to deliver a new ‘satellite’ entrance for the Queens Medical Centre that will link the existing hospital buildings with the new tram stop.

The trust is seeking a provider with design, build, finance and operational capabilities to deliver the new entrance with concession outlets to serve the general public but particularly those accessing the hospital from the new tram stop, which is expected to be operational by January 2015.

It expects the successful bidder to lease a specified plot of land, on which it will construct the new satellite entrance and concession space together with necessary services, as well as secure appropriate tenants for the duration of the its lease.

The lease is expected to be for a period of 25 years after which the land, satellite entrance and concession space will revert to trust ownership.

Interested parties have until 1pm on 9 December to submit applications.
