Under the plans, the successful partner will design, build, fund and operate the accommodation for up to 50 years.
The scheme will be delivered on the university’s existing East Slope site on its Falmer campus. An initial phase of 600 rooms will be required to be ready for the start of the 2016-17 academic year, while the remainder should be available a year later.
The university is keen to explore the possibility of using an incremental partnership to deliver the programme, which would see the successful developer initially appointed to deliver the East Slope before potentially being chosen to deliver the West Slope site as well.
Interested parties have until midday on 18 November to submit bids.
