As reported by PPP Bulletin last month, the Agency Transport for NSW has now invited firms to participate in the tender for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of the new project.
Under the current proposals, the LRT system will cover the capital’s central business district and the south east of the city.
A shortlist of bidders will then be asked to respond to the request for proposals following the closure of the bidding process. Subject to planning approval, it is expected both contracts would be awarded in mid to late 2014.
