Alberta schools still on track

Alberta is determined to go ahead with their latest school project despite lack of recent investor interest.

Neil McQuay, chief strategic partnership officer for Alberta Infrastructure, said the state is re-tolling and “looking at all options” and was “focused” following its recent lack of investor interest when tendering its school bundle.

In October the province rolled out its contract for 19 P3 model schools, however only one bidder came into the market.

According to McQuay the lack of interest was a surprise, however they are determined to continue with the project and are currently looking at all tools and options to bring it to market.
