Tender out for Pakistan road PPP

The government of Sindh in Pakistan has published the tender for the building of a new Expressway PPP.

The tender is for the Karachi-Thatta expressway which involves the construction of a 49.5km two lane dual road between Gaghar Phatak through National Highway to the start of Thatta toll plaza. The project is being built under a design, build, finance, operate and transfer model with the contract length being for 27 years.

It will be financed by a 70:30 debt to equity ratio, whereby the government of Sindh will inject minority equity of 14% whilst developers equity will be 16%.
