Brighton regen scheme tendered

Brighton and Hove City Council is seeking a private partner for the sports facility and housing scheme being planned for the King Alfred Leisure Centre site.

The council is planning for a residential-led development that will support the new leisure facilities.

Under the plans, bidders will be required to prepare a clear funding and delivery strategy for the project, as well as designing, building and delivery of the new leisure facility.

The project is estimated to cost in the region of £140-£170m. The council first launched the plans in October last year.

Interested parties have until midday on 10 November to submit their requests to participate.
