Sweett rings changes as boss retires

Consultancy Sweett Group has announced that chief executive Dean Webster has decided to bring forward his retirement, leaving with immediate effect, while the firm has also appointed a new executive operations director.

Webster has been at Sweett for 34 years and the company will now begin the search for a replacement. In the interim, non-executive chairman John Dodds will become executive chairman at the firm.

Meanwhile, Kenneth Wood has been appointed executive operations director at the company, in a role designed to support the chief executive and progress the group’s strategic plan.

He will also be responsible for business systems and corporate governance compliance across the firm.

And Alan Manuel has been appointed deputy managing director for Europe, reporting to European managing director Derek Pitcher.
