Victoria issues Melbourne schools EoI

The government of Victoria has issued the tender for the development of 13 schools under a PPP model.

Under the proposals for the $223m New Schools Public Private Partnership (PPP) Project, a private partner will oversee the development of the facilities in Melbourne's metropolitan and regional growth areas.

This includes new primary schools at Connewarre in the Armstrong Creek area, Bannockburn, Cranbourne North, Cranbourne West, Epping North, Clyde North, Mernda, South Morang, Pakenham and Torquay.

Education Minister Martin Dixon confirmed that the schools would be built in two tranches, opening in time for the 2017 and 2018 academic years.

The closing date for responses to the expressions of interest is 2pm on Thursday 13 November 2014.
