Valued at $610m, plus a $173m contingency, the project will see the creation of a new 12km line during the first phase, running from the city to the developing suburbs of Gungahlin in the north.
The Capital Metro Agency also published the business case for the project, which claims creating the new line will deliver almost $1bn in benefits to the community. This will include $222m in transport time savings and $140m in infrastructure efficiencies.
Interested parties have until 2pm on 19 December to respond to the EoI.
