India port PPP tendered

The Port of Mumbai has issued a request for qualifications for the development of a Floating gas Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU).

The Board of Trustees of the Port of Mumbai is seeking a private developer to undertake the development of the unit along with the supporting infrastructure in Mumbai harbour on design, build, finance, operate, transfer basis.

Among the support facilities to be developed are a marine terminal (including berthing and mooring facilities for FSRU and LNG carriers, offloading and transfer, riser systems for gas send-out), sub-sea pipeline, landfall point facilities for metering station and dredging in the approach channel and turning basin.

A pre-application conference is scheduled for 18 December. Bids are due by 9 January 2015.
