Dutch pension fund appoints infra head

PGGM have appointed a new Head of Infrastructure

Frank Roeters van Lennep will start as Head of Infrastructure at PGGM Investments in January 2015.

He will succeed Henk Huizing, who will now perform a supervisory role for PGGM’s managed investments. Under Huizing’s management the infrastructure portfolio of PGGM grew sixfold and the team expanded from 4 to 22.

Van Lennep is leaving KPMG where he has been partner at the corporate finance department for over fourteen years.

PGGM is a co-operative Dutch pension fund service provider with 179.5bn in assets under management.

2014 has seen a steady increase in investment in the European PPP market from PGGM, largely as a result of the institutional investor’s PPP joint venture with the Royal BAM Group. The BAM PPP PGGM JV has signed several transport and social deals in IrelandBelgiumGermany and The Netherlands in 2014.
