Infranode adds to senior team

Swedish infrastructure investor Infranode has hired a former director-general of the Swedish Road Administration to join its senior advisory team.

Ingemar Skogo, who also had a stint as director-general of the Swedish Civil Aviation Administration, becomes a senior adviser at Infranode. He has also had chairman positions in, among others, MAX-lab research facility, Öresund Bridge Consortium and Arlandabanan Infrastructure.

In his new role, Skogo will draw on his experience in the transport sector as he looks to develop Infranode’s role as a Nordic focused infrastructure investment platform.

Infranode reached its first closing in September 2014 with SEK1.45bn in commitments, and is primarily focused on assets in the Nordics, while opportunities in the rest of Europe will be considered in partnership with leading investors in those areas.

Last month, the firm hired Aleksi Rajakaski to become investment manager and country lead for Finland.
