Under the Karachi Port Improvement project, an elevated port expressway will be built from Pakistan Deep Water Container Terminal to M-9/Northern Bypass, measuring 12-15km.
The Karachi Port Trust has received a loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consultancy services related to the scheme.
Among the services that the consultant will be expected to cover are traffic studies; alignment identification; survey & feasibility level design of the elevated expressway; cost/benefit analysis of various PPP models; financial models and documentation for selection process of the PPP operator/bidders.
All interested consulting firms are requested to send the required information in hard copy format by 19 October 2015.
