The municipality of Baggao, Cagayan, is seeking bidders for the project to provide potable water to households in the region.
The deal includes the bulk water source development, transmission and distribution to individual household level connections. It is anticipated that the scheme will initially serve 21,160 people in the region.
An investor’s conference will take place on October 19, while interested parties have until 9 November to respond to the notice. A pre-bid conference for pre-qualified bidders will then be held on 14 December in San Jose, Baggao.
It was revealed in August that the municipality was on the verge of tendering the project – one of the first through the country’s recently established local government unit (LGU) programme.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Franchising & Regulatory Board has extended the bid deadline for its transport IT project from 12 October to 30 October.
