Czech PPP tender delayed

The Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic has pushed back the deadline for bids to advise on a motorway PPP

The ministry has altered the terms of the contract for the provision of legal, financial and technical advice for the R4 Expressway PPP, with the authority reducing the number of specified experts required from 15 to 12.

As a result the deadline for requests to participate has been extended to 10am 21 December, with tenders opened immediately afterwards.

The authority is seeking consultants for before and during the tender procedure for the selection of the concessionaire for the R4 PPP project, including the conclusion of appropriate agreements. The contract is for 20 months and is valued at approximately €3.6m.

The R4, is a partially built 84km expressway connecting Prague, the south-west Bohemia region and Bavaria with 32km of expressway remaining to be built and 4.8km currently under construction. The PPP model will be an availability payment mechanism under a design, build, finance, operate and maintain model with a 25-30 year term.
