Western Australia tenders housing scheme

The Western Australia state government is seeking partners to deliver innovative medium to high-density developments along Perth transport corridors.

Launched by Minister for Housing Colin Holt, the Connected Living scheme involves seven sites totalling more than 28,000sq m of land worth about $20m.

The Housing Authority is seeking private sector involvement in the design, funding and development of the sites. Developments will enhance use of transport infrastructure and provide affordable housing.

Holt said this is the first time a Western Australian government has engaged in a transport-aligned initiative of this scale. He added: “We need to maximise the use of the state government's major transport and infrastructure investment.”

Expressions of interest are due by 26 February 2016.
