Saudi plans school PPPs

The Saudi Arabian government has announced plans to rollout a programme of school PPPs.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Education has said that it will launch the programme of investment at a conference in the New Year.

A programme of investment will be set out at the event at the ministry's headquarters in Riyadh on 10-11 January 2017 and the planned projects will form part of the Saudi government's Vision 2030 strategy.

At that event, a number of new funding initiatives will be considered to help deliver the investment needed for the school PPP programme.

In August, the government revealed it was considering developing a social housing initiative, which would be delivered through the PPP model.
