Italian streetlighting PPP launched

A town in north-eastern Italy has advertised a concession notice for a streetlighting PPP.

Stazione Unica Appaltante, encompassing the Conegliano and Vittorio Veneto town halls, is seeking a partner to plan, coordinate, finance and execute works to renovate the network of streetlighting in the area.

The partner is also expected to take care of energy supplies and the maintenance of the infrastructure, conducting occasional work to guarantee constant service without compromising on energy efficiency.

The contract will run for 15 years with an overall value of €8.6m.

Interested parties will have until midday on 15 February 2017 to submit requests.

Authorities in the islands of Sicily and Sardinia also advertised energy PPPs in November.
