Four shortlisted for Kenya roads PPP

Four teams have been shortlisted by the Kenyan roads authority for one of its road PPP lots.

In a notice in the Kenya Gazette, the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced that the following four teams – all with international experience – have been shortlisted having pre-qualified for the repackaged lot 6 scheme:

SBI International Holdings (Swiss)
Eiffage with Transcentury (French and Kenyan)
Sinohydro Corporation (Chinese)
Sogea Satom (French) with H Young and Gibb Africa (both Kenyan)

The Kenyan PPP unit is looking to significantly increase the country’s delivery of PPP schemes over the course of 2017.

In October, Stanley Kamau, director within the Kenya finance ministry's PPP unit, said that four road schemes were planned to be tendered before Christmas.
