Scottish council considers housing partner

North Lanarkshire Council is considering its options to deliver a range of new housing, including a potential partnership with a private firm.

The authority has issued a prior information notice relating to the construction of new build housing and is considering a range of options, including the potential appointment of development partners.

It is planning to hold an open day on Wednesday 1 February 2017 to understand the market’s capability and capacity to deliver what the council is planning.

The day will also inform the council’s proposals and help it gain an understanding of the market’s experience of delivering similar projects.

North Lanarkshire has not yet decided on the route to market.

In January last year, the Greenfaulds High School design, build, finance and maintain project in North Lanarkshire reached financial close under the Hub South West programme.
