Consultants sought for Benin-Togo market PPP

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has issued a request for expressions of interest for consultants to develop a market PPP.

The IFC and the governments of Benin and Togo are seeking a firm to structure a PPP for a covered market to shelter traders currently retailing in makeshift structures in Cotonou, Benin and Lome, Togo.

Advisers will assess the suitability of the site for development, devise how to attract private partners and explore rental and sales models.

The World Bank intends to finance the assignment, for which the IFC is advising the two governments.

Firms have until 19 October to express interest.

Earlier this month, the World Bank issued a request for expressions of interest for consultants to advance a road PPP scheme in Jordan.
