Maidenhead housing JV launched

A joint venture partner is sought to deliver a £500m residential-led development on Maidenhead Golf Course.

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead has issued a contract notice for a joint venture partner that will invest in the project and generate a financial return for the authority.

The development plan for the 132-acre site could create up to 2,000 new homes, with 30% of them affordable, within walking distance of the town centre and close to the train station through which the new Elizabeth line (Crossrail) will run from 2019.

Alongside the homes new infrastructure and facilities such as schools, roads and health facilities will be required.

A bidder briefing event will be held at Gowling WLG’s London office on 10 November. Savills are advising the council and are the contact for the project.
