Wates appoints interim CFO

Contractor Wates has appointed an interim chief financial officer (CFO).

Rod Holdsworth replaces David Allen, who has assumed the position of acting chief executive following the departure of former chief executive Andrew Davies on 10 November. Holdsworth joins from facilities management group OCS.

James Wates, chairman of the Wates group, said “Rod joins a business on a strong financial footing, which is performing well this year and looking ahead to 2018 with confidence. I look forward to working with him and the whole Executive Committee over the coming months as we continue to fulfill our long-term growth strategy.”

As previously reported, Carillion has appointed Andrew Davies as chief executive officer.

Last month Wates appointed a former Skanska director of education as a new pre-construction director for the Home Counties.
